Residents of Green Valley Hills are in the throes of hashing out a tax hike.
Because the 222-lot Landscape and Lighting Assessment District was formed without an inflationary factor, annual fees have remained at $76.90 per lot for more than 30 years. El Dorado Hills Community Service District Parks and Planning Director Tauni Fessler said the LLAD, along with three other districts, has long been underfunded and is now unable to sustain its assets.

“Sadly, there was no time for input or compromise to answer the open issues,” said resident Joel Miller. “I think, unfortunately we will go down this path again with the CSD incurring additional costs that could have been avoided.”
Ballots for all four districts including Oak Ridge, La Cresta and Bass Lake A will be counted during a public hearing scheduled for July 1, 2021, starting at 6:30 p.m.
