South Lake Tahoe
– Two people were hospitalized after being injured in a car crash on Highway 89 in South Lake Tahoe on Friday morning, August 6.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:15 a.m. on State Route 89 near Luther Pass.
56-year-old Stevan Fairover, of Placerville, was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup truck southbound on SR 89 when he drifted into the northbound lanes and sideswiped a gray Toyota Tundra pickup driven by 43-year-old Tristian Cormier, of Carmichael.
The pickup truck continued in the northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2006 Chevy 2500 pickup driven by Christiana Gray, of Nevada.
