PRpond]
A fantastic (but freezing) way to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Northern California. There will be no swimming here, just a quick dip into the depths of Lake Tahoe and back out again. Come for the emerald green water or the post-plunge party at Harvey’s.
This quick dip is not a swim, it is a chance to charge into the freezing cold water of South Lake Tahoe in your best costumes to raise awareness and money for an incredible cause. The money you raise helps approximately 24,000 athletes with physical and mental disabilities cover the cost of their sports training, education and leadership programs.
If you don’t fancy taking the plunge then consider signing up for the ‘Chicken’ ticket, which gives you access to all the fun and festivities but saves you from the frigid water.
This event is hoping to raise a whopping $172,500 so do your part and get involved.
