About Brass Roots Trio:
Brass Roots Trio has won acclaim for its adventurous programming and artistic passion. Three world-class musicians redefine the chamber music genre with a fusion of classical, jazz, Americana and Latin styles. With trumpet, French horn, and piano, (plus the bonus of a brilliant operatic tenor) Brass Roots Trio has played to standing ovations and rave reviews in every corner of the US and England. In 2009, the trio was honored to perform for President and Mrs. Obama and their guests at the White House.
About the venue:
Audiences have been enjoying opera, movies, dances, and concerts in the Old Balsar House since the 1800s. Built in 1859 as a hotel, it was renovated in 1870 as an opera house, then renewed again in 1889 by the International Order of Odd Fellows. This building’s gracious, classic lines and indoor spaciousness make it the perfect location for hearing good music.
