A homicide victim was found at the Shingle Springs home of a Ponderosa High School student arrested Thursday for allegedly bringing a loaded gun to campus, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Sergeant Tasha Thompson, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office: “On January 19, 2017, at approximately 0800 hours, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office was notified a student at Ponderosa High School had been detained for bringing a loaded firearm onto campus.
“Upon deputies arrival at the school, they placed the student under arrest for the possession of the firearm.
During the course of their investigation, they discovered the murder victim at the student’s home.
Neither the student nor the murder victim have been identified.
“The investigation is ongoing and more details will follow.
