Working throughout the nation to stop government overspending, the National Tax Limitation Committee PAC has endorsed two candidates in El Dorado County; Bill George a retired IBM systems manager for the Board of Directors in EID’s Division 3, and Chuck Smith a retired corporate executive from the packaging industry for the EID Board of Directors in Division 5. The endorsement notifications came by personal telephone calls from National Tax Limitation Committee PAC President Lew Uhler, a resident of nearby Roseville, to the two campaigns individually.
“We need to elect responsible people to National, State and local office, like Bill George and Chuck Smith,” said Lew Uhler, National Tax Limitation Committee PAC President, “who will limit government spending, balance budgets and eliminate departmental waste, fraud, and abuse”.
“Bill George’s record of accomplishments include working with Congressman John Doolittle to complete EID’s money-saving purchase of Sly Park and it’s lake water from the Federal Bureau of Reclamation so EID would stop having to waste money buying water from the Bureau each year, a 30% reduction in the number of employees at EID, establishing a hydroelectric program that makes money to offset expenses, and securing new water rights from Folsom Lake for EID customers,” explained Uhler, while balancing each and every budget since his election in 2003”.
“Chuck Smith comes from the no-nonsense corporate world where fiscal discipline is essential to business survival, and I believe his successful management experience and fiscal discipline will serve EID ratepayers well,” concluded Uhler.
