Yesterday an online death notice was posted by our local, most prominent, mortuary. The name immediately alarmed me and I contacted family and was assured that this obit is NOT the retired El DOrado County Supervisor, “Jack” Sweeney. I talked to Jack on the 13th and he told me to make sure I read the latest issue of the Hilldale Report. I told him I would.
I talked to his son after I read the death notice issued on the 15th and he has not heard the middle name “James Aloysius Sweeney” and as of last night, no local Sweeney recognizes the name of the person currently at Chapel of the Pines identified as:
“James Aloysius Sweeney was born on November 17, 1929 and passed away on February 13, 2020..”
But I have been assured it is NOT the well-known local, James “Jack” Sweeney by his son Dallas Sweeney.
