El Dorado County Fire Protection District is seeking community stakeholders to participate in a Five-Year Strategic Planning process. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the District, share their perceptions of its strengths and weaknesses, and to discuss critical issues affecting, or likely to affect, the District in the future. This process is crucial in development of a plan that will ensure that the Fire District is meeting the needs of the community in an effective and efficient manner. Included in the process will be a review of the current Five-Year Strategic Plan, identification of on-going needs and achievable goals and a creating a vision of the District’s future.
The District will be initiating virtual Strategic Planning Sessions on March 25, 2021 at 1 P.M.
A critical component to the strategic planning process is recognizing the on-going fiscal challenges faced by the Fire District and local government in general. To maintain sustainable fire-based services within local communities, diligent financial planning is imperative.
Public input is encouraged as the District goes through this planning process.
