Taylor Graham has invited local poet, essayist, and travel writer from the South Lake Tahoe area, Suzanne Roberts to join this final reading.
“As a writer, I consider myself a storyteller, and sometimes the story I’m writing wants to be an essay; sometimes it wants to be a poem because there are times when only a poem will do,” said Roberts
Speaking about the Trail, Graham noted that, “the Poet Laureate Trail is a wonderful way to bring together poets and audiences from different parts of the county, and to spread the word about local poetry events and other opportunities.
“Sometimes it brings poets and poetry lovers ‘out of the closet’ and into our poetry community. I’m grateful for the chance to get to know poets whose work I’ve admired without having met them before.”
The event series, Laureate Trail, visited five regional libraries in El Dorado County. The Trail will culminate with this reading at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library. Graham has invited several poets who reside in each of the five districts to join her at their local events.
This event will be at the South Lake Tahoe Library.
