EDH retailer reopens with Social Distancing Practices

Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday. But one locally owned retailer in the El Dorado Hills Town Center has already reopened, with social distancing measures in place, according to the business.

Gold Country Run & Sport announced Sunday that it has reopened in El Dorado Hills. The store, which sells running shoes and apparel, says it's enforcing several "social distancing practices." Among those practices: A maximum of three customers are allowed inside at once, and those customers must stay 6 feet away from each other. 

The running store also has a Folsom location, which remains closed. Gold Country co-owner Leon Shahinian did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. 

El Dorado County’s stay-at-home order had its last day on Thursday, but the county has said it will continue to adhere to the statewide stay-at-home orders. Carla Hass, communications director for El Dorado County, on Monday told me the county is "using education and communication instead of citation" in responding to complaints related to stay-at-home orders....
