{"id":8761,"date":"2019-05-10T21:42:36","date_gmt":"2019-05-11T04:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/?p=8761"},"modified":"2025-12-22T21:44:25","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T05:44:25","slug":"placerville-woman-arrested-for-multiple-crimes-against-adopted-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/2019\/05\/10\/placerville-woman-arrested-for-multiple-crimes-against-adopted-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Placerville woman arrested for multiple crimes against adopted children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Sergeant Anthony Prencipe]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In April 2019, The El Dorado County Sheriff\u2019s Office began an investigation into child abuse allegations regarding Patricia Taylor, age 63, of Placerville, CA. \u00a0Taylor was an adoptive parent of four juvenile females who had lived in her residence from young ages and are now between the ages of 11-16. \u00a0Taylor fostered and adopted several other children in the past who have since become adults and moved out of Taylor\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-April, a 14-year old adoptive daughter ran away from Taylor&#8217;s home to one of her older sister\u2019s residences in fear of receiving punishment from Taylor. \u00a0At this time she proceeded to disclose years of prior abuse. \u00a0Law enforcement and El Dorado County Child Protective Services were contacted to begin an investigation on the case. \u00a0Further interviews with Taylor\u2019s adopted daughters revealed allegations of years of child abuse, torture, false imprisonment, as well as lewd and lascivious behavior at the hands of Taylor.<\/p>\n<p>On May 10, 2019, after a continued investigation and evidence collection, child abuse detectives from the El Dorado County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested Taylor on charges of Torture; five counts of child abuse likely to cause seriously injury or death; three counts of false imprisonment; two counts of willful cruelty to a child; and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct of a child under the age of fourteen. \u00a0She is being held at the El Dorado County Jail on $1,445,000 bail.
