Supervisor Ranalli said, “a community meeting for outreach on upcoming hazardous tree removal projects along Hwy 193 and Hwy 49.”\u00a0He adds, “the South Fork American River Cohesive Strategy group is working on a ‘Chili Bar to Georgetown’ fuel reduction project(s)… It made sense to include the Fire Safe Councils and the County OES, Disaster Preparedness, and Animal Services presentations to round out the opportunity to demonstrate the cooperative efforts.”<\/p>\n

\nPlacerville, CA. \u2014 El Dorado County Supervisor Michael Ranalli invites the residents of the Georgetown Divide and North County Region to join him and representatives from State. County and local community organizations to learn more about hazardous tree removal projects planned for the Divide and North County regions and to learn more about how you and your community can better prepare for disasters, including wildfires.<\/p>\n

Representatives from the following agencies and organizations will be in attendance to provide information on scheduled hazardous tree removal projects, planning efforts for fuel reduction projects and fire adapted communities, the importance of defensible space for individual properties as well as an entire community, and the importance of preparing for a disaster:<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Service
\n\u2022 Georgetown, Garden Valley and Mosquito Fire Protection Districts

This meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn more about the cooperative efforts between these agencies to remove hazardous trees, plan for large-scale fuel reduction projects and help your community be prepared in the event of a disaster.<\/p>\n
