Our Explores worked hard throughout the competition and brought back 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0Place for the Critical Incident scenario.<\/p>\n<p>The team representing El Dorado County Sheriff\u2019s Office Explorer Post 457 consisted of 8 explorers: Captain Sam Jackowitz, Sergeant Joe Herrington, Corporal Robert Wilson, Corporal Devyn Trihn-Nguyen, Deputy Garret Estes, Deputy Derek Estes, Deputy Jaclyn Parisek and Deputy Elyse Johnson. \u00a0For four of the Explorers, it was their first competition.<\/p>\n<p>They competed against 36 other teams in the three day competition. Post 457 Explorers took first place in the Critical incident Scenario. \u00a0El Dorado County Sheriff\u2019s Office Explorers competed in 17 scenarios including active shooter, traffic stop, bus assault, vehicle search, hostage rescue, burglary, obstacle course, DUI investigation, officer down, suspicious person and high risk stop. They worked well as a team and were complemented on their communication skills and training.
