City of South Lake Tahoe City Clerk Susan Alessi will be retiring in August after serving the City for 32 years. \u00a0Ms. Alessi began her career in the City Clerk\u2019s Office in 1986 and was elected as City Clerk in 2002.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been an absolute honor and privilege to work with Ms. Alessi over the past four years. \u00a0Her wisdom and experience have been vital to the organization in preserving 32 years\u2019 worth of knowledge of our community and she will be truly missed. On behalf of the City Council and staff, we wish her all the best for an incredible retirement,\u201d said Mayor Wendy David.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s never good to lose someone with so much institutional memory and willingness to help Councilmembers. Ms. Alessi has always been available to assist when needed with anything, be it past records and agreements or assistance with city business. Suzie\u2019s calming influence often helped staff and Council navigate through the business we call city government. I wish Suzie and her family all the best as she moves on to the next chapter in her life. She will be missed,\u201d said Councilmember Austin Sass.<\/p>\n
