A week following the election politicians and want-to-be-politicians are decompressing from another hard election cycle.\u00a0 Those that have not been active in a candidate\u2019s election efforts cannot understand how much effort, how little sleep, and how much \u201cschmoozing\u201d goes into any campaign. \u00a0For some the race is won, for others, the race is lost, and for others, it is time to ramp-up for another round called the General Election.<\/p>\n

I cut my teeth in Marketing in SoCal and I met a lot of Rock Stars including Kid Rock, Bo Derek, John Wayne, and even Ronald Reagan! \u00a0That was about the same time I started getting serious in Politics with a slot in Geo Bush\u2019s 2nd VP campaign in SoCal. \u00a0In the many years since, I have learned that the lifestyle of a Rockstar and a Politician is not much different!<\/p>\n

Here is one example, a singer sings the same song every night so even in an exhausted daze, the words can be remembered\u2026 \u201cGet washed-up singers writin’ all my songs Lipsync ’em every night so I don’t get ’em wrong\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

So stay skinny and drink up – [the water in a wine glass] as you try to ignore the hunger pains as the shrimp call your name while you work the crowd\u2026<\/p>\n
