Hass]\u200b<\/em><\/p>\n<p>(SHINGLE SPRINGS, CA) \u2013 Ten residents had successfully completed the Community Corrections Center\u2019s (CCC) program and enjoyed a graduation ceremony for their efforts Tuesday, December 5, 2017. This marks El Dorado County Probation Department\u2019s fifth such ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result of these graduates committing themselves to the change process through this program, we are effectively changing lives and creating safer communities for every El Dorado County resident,&#8221; said Brian Richart, El Dorado County Chief Probation Officer.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony recognizes the effort of program clients who have successfully completed various curricula including Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Treatment, which are meant to teach necessary cognitive and life skills for a prosocial lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Graduates include five from the CCC and five from the Behavioral Health Court (BHC), a multidisciplinary team of mental health, probation officers and attorneys who provide individualized case management and treatment plans meant to address both the mental health needs of the client and public safety concerns of the community.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony included remarks from former CCC graduates who have maintained a crime-free life for several years and El Dorado County Superior Court Judge Suzanne Kingsbury. Additionally, the graduates will provide insight to their journeys toward prosocial change upon receiving their certificates.<\/p>\n<p>CCC is a joint collaboration between the Community Correction Partnership (CCP), specifically the El Dorado County Probation Department, Health &amp; Human Services Agency, and the El Dorado County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carla B.
