This is a three-day music festival which will be held at the Community Playfields off of Al Tahoe Boulevard. This will be an outdoor event with live music stage performances being held each night. This letter is being sent to provide residents in the area near to the event with important information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SnowGlobe Music Festival Event Schedule:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe event hours are the following:<br \/>\nFriday, December 29, 2017\u20142pm to 11:30pm<br \/>\nSaturday, December 30, 2017\u20142pm to 11:30pm<br \/>\nSunday, December 31, 2017\u20142pm to 1am<\/p>\n<p><strong>Al Tahoe Road Closure:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo ensure the safety of community members and festival attendees, Al Tahoe Boulevard will be closed to through traffic one hour before the festival start time and one hour after the festival end time:<br \/>\nAl Tahoe will be closed on the following dates and times:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Friday, December 29, 2017\u201412:30pm to 12:30am<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Saturday, December 30, 2017\u201412:30pm to 12:30am<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Sunday, December 31, 2017\u201412:30pm to 2am<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bijou Community Park Closure:<\/strong><br \/>\nBijou Community Park will be closed to general public access beginning on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 and reopening on January 3, 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hotline:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nA hotline number has been established each year to record community questions and\/or concerns \u2013 this number is not for event or ticketing information. Community members may leave a message for City staff regarding noise, traffic, parking etc. City staff checks the number each day and relay community concerns to event producers. To leave a message please call (530) 542-6001.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noise:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Limitations have been placed on decibel levels.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The bass will be placed on the ground.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The speakers will be positioned downwards towards the field.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Sound experts have been consulted on sound mitigation.<\/p>\n<p><em>*Please note noise levels are affected by the snow amount or lack of snow on the ground; although the decibels levels are the same each year, when there is less snow, the farther the sound travels and the louder the music seems.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Parking:<\/strong><br \/>\nFestival parking will be available at South Tahoe Middle School parking lot and shuttle drop off and pick up will be the intersection of Al Tahoe and Johnson Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>In order to insulate residents from \u201coverflow parking\u201d created during this event certain adjacent areas will be designated as \u201cpermit only parking areas\u201d during the event. Each residence in the areas listed below will be provided two (2) Temporary Parking Permits to be used for vehicles parked on the street. Vehicles parked on private property will not require a permit. Additional permits may be obtained from the Police Department. Vehicles parked on streets located in the above designated areas not displaying an authorized Temporary Parking Permit will be cited and or towed.<\/p>\n<p>Areas included in this temporary permit parking only program are:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Pioneer Village<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Marlette Circle and those streets enclosed by Marlette Circle; Mt Rose Rd, Monument Dr. &amp; Jobs Peak Rd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shuttle Service:<\/strong><br \/>\nShuttle service will run from the South Lake Tahoe Transit Center (4114 Lake Tahoe Boulevard) and also from the South Y Transit Center (100 Emerald Bay Road) to Al Tahoe Blvd. \u00a0The shuttle service will drop off and pick up from the Bijou Community Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shuttle Hours:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Friday, December 29, 2017\u20141:30pm to 12:30am<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Saturday, December 30, 2017\u20141:30pm to 12:30am<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Sunday, December 31, 2017\u20141:30pm to 2am<\/p>\n<p><em>Thank you for your continued patience and support of the SnowGlobe Music Festival.
