Only 89 homes sold last month, down nearly 30 percent from a year ago when 125 homes sold.<\/p>\n<p>Placer County saw a 13.5 percent drop, and in El Dorado County sales were down nearly 12 percent. Sacramento County experienced a 3.6 percent drop. But research firm CoreLogic says low home inventory, low mortgage rates and job growth kept prices surging.<\/p>\n<p>Sacramento County&#8217;s median price of $317,000 was up 7.5 percent from a year ago. Yuba County had the biggest increase at nearly 18 percent.
