{"id":4847,"date":"2016-12-08T17:27:52","date_gmt":"2016-12-09T01:27:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/?p=4847"},"modified":"2025-11-19T17:29:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T01:29:03","slug":"food-bank-fills-holiday-tables-with-its-annual-holiday-outreach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/2016\/12\/08\/food-bank-fills-holiday-tables-with-its-annual-holiday-outreach\/","title":{"rendered":"Food bank fills holiday tables with its annual Holiday Outreach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every Christmas season in El Dorado County something special happens: Individuals, families, church groups, service clubs, local businesses, Scouts and many more come together to ease the burden on neighbors who struggle to make ends meet by providing all the fixings for a good Christmas dinner to 1,000 local, at-risk families.<\/p>\n<p>The Food Bank of El Dorado County host its annual Holiday Outreach Dec. 16 &amp; 17 at the food bank\u2019s new distribution warehouse in Cameron Park.<\/p>\n<p>The El Dorado Sheriff\u2019s Department\u2019s STAR volunteers will deliver food baskets to local homebound residents and local veterans organizations will make sure all veterans in El Dorado County have a good holiday meal for them and their family.<\/p>\n<p>Food bank founder Mike Sproull asks community members to contribute what they can toward this effort, noting that El Dorado County as a team can and will ease the burden of neighbors who struggle to make ends meet and local, underprivileged children who are deeply affected this time of year \u2014 volunteer, donate food or make a monetary contribution.<\/p>\n<p>Contributions can be mailed to the Food Bank of El Dorado County at 4550 Business Drive, Cameron Park 95682.
