{"id":4163,"date":"2022-03-31T16:14:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T23:14:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/?p=4163"},"modified":"2022-03-31T19:25:06","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T02:25:06","slug":"lockdown-lifted-at-union-mine-high-school-after-report-of-explosion-or-gunfire-in-the-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/2022\/03\/31\/lockdown-lifted-at-union-mine-high-school-after-report-of-explosion-or-gunfire-in-the-area\/","title":{"rendered":"Lockdown Lifted at Union Mine High School After Report of &#8216;EXPLOSION or GUNFIRE&#8217; in the Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. \u2014 El Dorado County deputies have lifted the lockdown and released students from Union Mine High School after a report of an &#8220;explosion or gunfire&#8221; heard in the area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>Deputies responded to the area around 2:05 p.m. The sheriff&#8217;s office says they are investigating the area to find the source of the reported sounds.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>According to deputies, &#8220;several witnesses believed the sounds or shots heard came from an area off of the school campus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident at this time.<\/p>\n<h3>EDSO:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Update, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4:08 pm<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nThe school lock downs in the area have been lifted and students have been released from school. There have been no reports of any injured persons related to this incident. EDSO is still in the area investigating the origin of the reported explosion, and\/or gunshots in the area. Several witnesses believed the sounds or shots heard came from an area off of the school campus.<\/p>\n<p>End of update<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n<em>Prior Alert<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Today at <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2:05 pm<\/span><\/strong> EDSO responded to the area of Union Mine High School in El Dorado for a report of an explosion or gunfire being heard in the area. Union Mine High School is on lock down at this time. EDSO has significant resources at the school and in the area attempting to locate the source of the reported sounds. At this time there have been no injured persons located, or reports of anyone being injured. EDSO asks that you stay out of the area while we conduct our investigation.
