That&#8217;s because retailers are passing some of the increased costs that they&#8217;re paying to get freight to their stores, to the consumers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The price increase has been drastic. That property was affected by the Caldor fire,&#8221; Eli McGee said. That farm lost about 50% of its mature trees this year. And if you usually go to your neighborhood tree lot, imports from other states may also be limited.
