2021\/2022 Youth Commission Application<\/pre>\n

All completed applications are due via this online submission or by email (sent to apooley@edcoe.org<\/a>) by end of business day on September 10, 2021.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\nThe El Dorado County Board of Supervisors will confirm the appointments to the Youth Commission and applicants will be notified by October 5, 2021<\/em>.<\/p>\n
Dear Applicant,<\/p>\n
The El Dorado County Youth Commission\u2019s goal is to develop and express the opinions, ideas, and vision of the El Dorado County youth. The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors and the El Dorado County Office of Education help facilitate the development of youth in government by working closely with the Youth Commission and their projects.<\/p>\n
Eligibility
\n\u25cf A resident of El Dorado County
\n\u25cf A student in 9th \u2013 12th grade during the 2021-2022 school year
\n\u25cf At least 13 years old<\/p>\n
Students participating in the El Dorado County Youth Commission experience a tremendous leadership opportunity. The commitment in working and achieving the Commission\u2019s goals as a team and working with local groups develops lifelong skills that will aid the students in college and career goals.<\/p>\n
Meetings
\n\u25cf Youth Commissioners meet twice a month from September through May at the El Dorado County Office of Education and\/or virtually on Zoom.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Project committees meet an additional one to four times per month as the projects require.<\/p>\n
