EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. – There were 80 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since Tuesday. The county doesn’t have data on how many of the new cases are breakthrough cases or the Delta variant, but they have been been alerted to at least 11 Delta variant cases, all with lab collection dates between May and early July.<\/p>\n
The 14-day case rates and number of the population per 100,000 residents are continuing to climb closure to data seen at the height of the pandemic.<\/p>\n
The new cases:<\/p>\n
Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz – 573 cases – +14 – The 14-day new case rate is 20 with 147 per 100,000 residents.
\nEl Dorado Hills – 2426 cases – +31 – The 14-day new case rate is 111 with 261 per 100,000 residents.
\nDiamond Springs, El Dorado – 504 cases – +6 – The 14-day new case rate is 23 with 245 per 100,000 residents.
\nNorth County – 523 cases – +2 – The 14-day new case rate is 13 with 90 per 100,000 residents.
\nGreater Placerville – 1988 cases – +15 – The 14-day new case rate is 73 with 199 per 100,000 residents.
\nCameron Park\/Shingle Springs\/Rescue – 1913 cases – +22 – The 14-day new case rate is 62 with 175 per 100,000 residents.
\nSouth County – 136 cases – +0 – The 14-day new case rate is 7 with 67 per 100,000 residents.
\nLake Tahoe region – 2805 cases – +14 – The 14-day new case rate is 82 with 271 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 120 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no new deaths.<\/p>\n
There are 10 <4> hospitalized with 3 <1> in the ICU. Of these patients, 8 are hospitalized at Marshall, 2 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 1 are in Barton, 1 at Marshall in Placerville. There are currently two available ICU beds in the county, 0 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, two at Marshall.<\/p>\n
