Help us spread the word to kids\/families who are invited to the TRY-athlon!<\/p>\n
Kids, age 18 and under, who are \u201cdifferently abled\u201d (diagnosis or not) and want to participate. This event is specifically for kids who want to join in the fun of an athletic event but traditional sports may not work for them.<\/p>\n
Each kid will complete the course however works best for them: wheels, walkers, strollers, life vests, pushed or guided by your coach (parent, sibling or friend) will be by your side the whole way.<\/p>\n
We want your friends and family to make signs and matching t-shirts and celebrate your hard work by lining the course! All you anti-participation trophy people can move along, cause everyone\u2019s a winner and gets a medal at this event!!<\/p>\n
Kids TRYathalon Swim Bike Run\/Roll<\/p>\n
Join us for the FIRST-EVER Walk with Austin TRYathalon presented by EDHCSD, EDH Promise Foundation, and Walk with Austin.<\/b><\/p>\n
Kids with special needs up to age 18 are invited to participate in this adaptive SWIM-BIKE-RUN event. Whether you walk, jog, roll or hitch a ride on a parent’s bike, each event can be tailored to you! Each participant should have at least one coach per leg of the event to assist them with transfer stations, adaptive equipment, safety, etc. Invite your friends and family to celebrate these athletes by cheering them on throughout the race and attending the Finisher Party at the Community Park. Walk with Austin is a local non-profit raising funds to help build an All-Abilities playground at the new Bass Lake Regional Park. All proceeds will benefit this future site of safe, inclusive, and FUN play for kids of all abilities. More details, including training advice and gear suggestions will be sent once registration has closed.<\/p>\n
