{"id":10423,"date":"2021-03-15T17:49:20","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T00:49:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/?p=10423"},"modified":"2026-01-05T17:50:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T01:50:06","slug":"time-to-fill-the-boot-with-loot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.newsmolo.com\/EDC\/2019\/2021\/03\/15\/time-to-fill-the-boot-with-loot\/","title":{"rendered":"Time to Fill the Boot with Loot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18,<br \/>\noff-duty firefighters from El Dorado County Fire District and IAFF Local 3556<br \/>\nwill be shaking their turnout boots and collecting donations to help \u201cFill the<br \/>\nBoot for Burns.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event helps raise money to support burn prevention and recovery programs<br \/>\nin Northern and Central California.<\/p>\n<p>Last year El Dorado County Fire District firefighters raised more than<br \/>\n$12,000 in two days for the Firefighters Burn Institute. All of the money<br \/>\ncollected goes directly to the Firefighters Burn Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters will be asking the community to help support burn recovery<br \/>\nprograms including Firefighters Kids Camp for Young Burn Survivors, Little<br \/>\nHeroes Preschool Burn Camp, and other burn programs funded by the Firefighters<br \/>\nBurn Institute.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the recovery programs, the donations collected during annual<br \/>\nboot drives has also made it possible for the Firefighters Burn Institute to<br \/>\ndonate one million dollars towards the construction of the new Firefighters Burn<br \/>\nInstitute Regional Burn Center at U.C.
