Tim and I are happy to announce that Darcy and Al of Placerville Public House have decided to move into the Hangman and Herrick Buildings. \u00a0After spending time together, we all feel this will be a good fit.<\/p>\n

The year 2019 was a hard year for our work on the buildings and the Ice Cream Shop. \u00a0Our daughter Jamie, who was running the Ice Cream Shop, faced many challenges. Twice she lost her entire inventory due to power outs and then COVID hit. Between the power outs, the protests, COVID and not being able to get product, her family made the decision to move out of state where they will be close to old friends and more family.<\/p>\n

While finishing up on the Herrick Building and waiting to get the Ice Cream Shop back open, Tim and I were approached by Darcy and Al of Placerville Public House. \u00a0After several meetings we feel Darcy and Al will be good stewards of these buildings and they will have the opportunity and room to grow their family friendly business. \u00a0We all felt this was meant to be, it just felt right. \u00a0So, you will see lots of activity between our shops working to get things ready for the transition. \u00a0 The Placerville Public House will announce a date when they are ready to open.<\/p>\n

We want to thank everyone for their support of our efforts with these buildings over the years and for their words of encouragement. We have close friends and alliances who have watched our restoration progression. \u00a0Many conversations have taken place at the back table by those that walk in off the street and want to express a thought. We have spent more hours in those buildings than we have at home. It\u2019s going to feel strange for a while, but we are blessed knowing that these buildings will be in good hands.<\/p>\n

This transition will also give us time to travel and see our children and grandkids that are spread across the country. \u00a0They have missed us over the last 8 years while we have been working on these buildings.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t think Tim and I will be going away. We will continue to sponsor the Hangtown Christmas Parade and be involved with the Wagon Train Parade in Hangtown. \u00a0Now we just need to see the COVID bug go away so we can kick it up!
\nMoving forward and with much love to all of those that have supported us over the years.<\/p>\n
